About: Kinjiro Cafe

Most of the food and drinks at the cafe draw inspiration from Ninomiya Sontoku’s legacy. For instance, the Kinjiro Soft, a creamy soft-serve ice cream made with fresh milk from Yamanaka Farm in Akigawa Village, Hokkaido, pays homage to Sontoku. It’s garnished with a cookie shaped like his iconic statue.

You can also enjoy “Gojiru,” a soup made from mashed soybeans that was a favorite of Ninomiya Sontoku. This dish is enhanced by a specially prepared dashi (broth) crafted by the head chef of the Hōtoku Hall, offering a rich and aromatic flavor. The café also features a variety of souvenirs, including sweets, making it a perfect spot to pick up memorable keepsakes.

Highlights:

Kinjiro Cafe, nestled among lush greenery, offers a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the changing seasons on its open terrace. It’s an excellent place for families with children and even pet owners.

Savoring drinks and meals on the terrace, surrounded by trees, provides a unique and calming experience. The food and drinks not only taste delightful but are also beautifully presented, making them perfect for photos—so take in both the visual appeal and the flavors.
