The deity enshrined at Morioka Hachimangu Shrine is said to have been revered by the local people as the root deity of <span class=\"marker2\">human life, agriculture, industry, commerce, learning, clothing, and shelter.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The front door of the hall of worship is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that anyone can visit the shrine at any time. The interior and exterior of the hall of worship are decorated with carvings of paulownia flowers which are the prefectural flower of Iwate Prefecture.
